SimopModel IBR – INR - 6009 -Reinforced Horizontal Septic Tank

SHARE

An all-water tank is a device designed to retain settling matters in domestic wastewater (wastewater from toilets, bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, etc). A complete water treatment system includes an all-water tank and a waste disposal system (sand filter, spreading system, etc.). The pre filter integrated into the all-water tank is located at the output and filters the pretreated effluent. This pre filter warns the user that the all-water tank needs draining and protects the treatment device downstream (sand filter, treatment system) against premature clogging by retaining non-settled particles. INPR-IBR-INR reinforced water tanks with built-in pre-filter from 3 to 8m3 made of polyethylene - for difficult ground or laying without slab with a backfill height of 600mm.

INSTALLATION
Beware: The altimetric positioning of the tank must be calculated in such a way that the level of the ground water is not above that of the tank’s upper cone.
Dig a separate hole for each tank and if necessary, push down the ground water until after backfilling work for the device has been carried out.
The walls must allow a space of about 50 cm around the tank.
Once the lateral backfill has been completed, remove the colson which is used temporarily to fix the pre filter and fill the tank. A self-supporting armoured concrete slab is to be laid just above the tank’s upper cone. This slab must rest on stable ground which must be non-turned in the following cases :

  • If there is backfill in excess of 60 cm above the tank`s upper cone.
  • If there is occasional overload due to vehicles driving less than 4 m away from the edge of the hole.
  • If extension shafts in concrete are to be used.
  • If there are overloads due to extreme climatic conditions.

Note:
If the tank cannot be installed near the residence (horizontal distance >10 m), grey water must be transferred via a grease separator located less than 2 meters from the house.

VENTILATION
There is no ventilation spur on the tank. Primary and secondary aerations must be made upstream and downstream respectively from the tank (Refer to standard XP P 16-603, ex DTU 64.1 available from AFNOR).

MAINTENANCE
In accordance with the inter-ministerial decree dated May 6th 1996, article 5, it is necessary to carry out draining at least once every 4 years. After each draining, fill the device immediately with water. Do not drain the device during periods of heavy rain. Maintenance of the pre-filter should be carried out with a water jet and it can be removed if necessary.
