CHEMetrics - Single Analyte Meters (SAMs)

A SAM may be the simplest and most cost effective option for those who only test for one specific analyte and range and require a digital read out, but do not require advanced features such as PC connectivity or a build-in timer.

Each SAM is pre-programmed and calibrated to measure a single analyte with a specified test range, i.e. one Photometric Test Kit - from either the self-filling ampoule range (Vacu-vials), from the COD vial range or the TPH Test Kit (please see the list below). The rugged, waterproof units feature the minimum of buttons and a large, clear display. They also feature a backlight for measurement in low light conditions. All SAMs automatically store the last 16 data points (with a time and date stamp) which can be easily recalled using the Menu function. A COD SAM is depicted above.

The SAM photometer is supplied together with the relevant pack of reagent ampoules or vials - everything required to start testing. This is known as a SAM Kit. Additional packs of ampoules or vials are available separately for all the SAM kits.

CHEMetrics Vacu-vials Test Kits employ CHEMetrics patented Self-Filling Reagent Ampoules for convenient, efficient and safe testing.

The lower value in the test range of the Vacu-vials tests denotes the Practical Detection Limit (PDL). However, readings can be obtained between zero and the PDL, and up to 20% over the maximum range value, for all Photometric Test Kits, at slightly reduced accuracy.
