Single Leaf Flood Protection Doors

SHARE

Standardized flood protection doors by IBS ensure a quick and cost effective flood protection of openings. The doors are mounted on the water side (pressure side) of the wall. The door frames are anchored using heavy-duty dowels. When the door is closed, the water pressure presses the door wing onto the door frame. There is a profile seal around the entire circumference of the door wing. The profile seal is attached by means of a stainless steel terminal strip screwed onto the door frame. Generally, all moveable component parts (hinges, screws, bolts, etc.) are made of stainless steel. Frames, door wings and door reinforcement are manufactured in a choice of stainless steel, hot-dip galvanized or coated black steel. Single-wing flood protection doors are offered in standard sizes of up to 2.5 m x 2.5 m and are designed to withhold floods up to 4 m above the threshold.

Flood protection door made of stainless steel (type HWT S235)

The frame and the door wing are hot-dip galvanized to ensure corrosion protection. Larger sizes are coated. On the bottom, the door abuts onto a threshold (min. h = 120 mm) and can be designed to be either four-sided or three-sided (open on the top).

Flood protection door made of stainless steel (type HWT VA)

The frame and the door wing are made of 1.4301 grade stainless steel, alternatively grade 1.4571. A profile seal surrounds the entire circumference of the stainless steel strips. Principle and the seal line are identical to HWT S 235.

Lift-swing door made of steel, no threshold, coated (type HST)

The use of a coated lift-swing door allows a threshold-free design. To achieve this, the door is lifted using manual hydraulic technology (lift) so that the door can be swung. When closed, the door is lowered, thus activating the seal on the ground.
