For Higher Pressures, two-stage compressors are to be CHOSEN to avoid too high outlet temperatures and to benefit of a more favourable power absorbed. Discharge pressures are effective pressures (or manometric ones). G type compressors are mainly recommanded for compressing gases such as: town gas, coke plant gas, hydrogen, methane, propane, butane, Co2, ammonia, freon, etc… In these cases, sealing gland packing is adapted to ensure acomplete tightness.
