Single stage Venturi scrubbers are capable of treating low concentrations of dust which enters the Venturi at high speeds where it is mixed with washing liquid to weigh down dust particles for decantation at the bottom of the tub.

They can be made from plastic material or AISI 304 steel sheet.
The acidic or basic flow is neutralised by a reagent which is automatically dosed inside the scrubber, managed by a suitable Ph-metre. System efficiency is defined by contact time between washing solution and polluting flow, on the packing media bed. A motorised sludge dredger is also fitted to keep the bottom of the tank clean, reducing maintenance requirements.
