Sinter Filter

SHARE

Sinter filters has no ordinary textile in the filter media, instead the filtered gas passes through sintered plastic elements, also called sinter elements. The sinter elements are patented and developed by Herding GmbH Filtertechnik in Germany. Production takes place under close supervision at Herding’s own production plant in Amberg, Germany. The material in the sinter elements is based on polyethylene (PE) and has a coating of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

The combination of the hard material in the sinter elements and its designed geometry provides unique qualities, which results in many advantages compared to conventional process filtration:

  • Up to 10-20 year lifetime, even for very abrasive dust - due to no movements in the filter media.
  • Very low dust emission of below 0.2mg/m3 - due to highly efficient purification
  • The geometry of the sinter elements results in very compact filters
  • The filter media has definitely no fibers, which is ideal for recycling and disposal.
  • Easy to clean online, with low consumption of compressed air.
  • Constant operating conditions, such as pressure drop and emissions.
  • Solid, robust and bend tested body, that provides good mechanical strength.
  • Maintenance is minimal
