IdemagSintered Neodymium-Iron-Boron Magnets (Nd-Fe-B)

SHARE

Sintered neodymium-iron-boron magnets (Nd-Fe-B) are magnets of the rare earth family, they are the most powerful available on the market, with a maximum energy product that varies from 26 MGOe to 52 MGOe. They are the third generation of permanent magnets developed in the 1980s. They have high remanence and coercivity values. They are offered in a wide range of qualities, sizes and shapes. For the production of this type of magnet a sintering process is used. The maximum working temperature is 200ºC for qualities with high coercivity.

This type of permanent magnet is especially indicated for the manufacture of magnetic separation systems, in installations for the treatment of fine grain sizes.

They are the permanent magnets most susceptible to oxidation. To prevent structural degradation, they are usually nickel or zinc plated. For special applications, humidity, chemically aggressive media, alkaline solutions or corrosive gases, other types of coatings can be considered.

  • High resistance to demagnetization. Under the indicated conditions, the magnetization lasts indefinitely in time.
  • High magnetic energy in relation to its mass.
  • Excellent magnetic behavior within the recommended temperature range (-40ºC / 200ºC)

Neodymium magnets are extremely powerful and can cause injury if handled incorrectly. They must be clearly labeled and properly packaged for storage or transportation.

All measures indicated are by way of example and do not imply availability for immediate delivery. In our warehouses we have more than 2,000 different sizes in stock. We can produce any proposed measure.

In this type of magnets manufactured by pressing, the standard tolerance is +/- 0.1 mm in all dimensions.
