Sludge Disposal and Treatment Plants

A gravel or concrete plant, a large construction site and tunnel construction, but also sewer cleaning and the disposal of drilling mud, there is hardly any space left for a mud pond or a dump for liquid sludge. The legislator prescribes that process water is recycled as far as possible and sludge must be dewatered. Sludge disposal must therefore necessarily include drainage.

Sludge dewatering is an essential stage of any treatment plant and process water system. Various methods and components are available. A chamber filter press is usually used, which is preceded by a homogenization tank for the pre-thickened sludge. The chamber filter press consists of several dozen chambers lined with special filter cloths. The presses are predominantly fully automatic and also programmed for the rinsing process. For the design of the press, the sludge properties and the possible fluctuations, the operating mode and the degree of automation must be taken into account. The characteristics of the filter cloths and filter plates also play a role. Broad experience from many different applications helps us to find the optimal solution for you.
