Qsonica - Model Q2500 -Sonicator
The Q2500 is our most powerful and durable Sonicator. This model includes a 1.5” diameter, 15” long, high amplitude (100um) probe with booster. This model is recommended for processing volumes of approximately 10-50L. Applications include emulsification, degassing, homogenization, solubilizing, deagglomerating and dispersing. Processing volumes are application specific. There are many variables (viscosity, concentration, etc.) that can affect the min/max processing volumes and processing times.
The Q2500 allows the user to program processing times and a full range of intensity settings. Processing time can be set from 1 second to 10 hours. A pulsing feature is standard. Pulsing can reduce the amount of heat generated by sonication when processing temperature sensitive samples. A temperature monitoring probe option is also available.
Note: Air cooling of the Converter by a compressed air source is required. The user must provide approximately 10psi (5 cfm) of clean, dry air to prevent overheating of the ultrasonic converter. If you do not have a continuous duty air compressor we can offer a reliable, portable alternative.
PROGRAMMABLE OPERATION
Set time and amplitude for hands free operation
PULSE MODE

DIGITAL AMPLITUDE / INTENSITY CONTROL
Output intensity can be set from 20-100%
ELAPSED TIME INDICATOR
Displays duration of sonication
DISPLAY OF WATTAGE AND JOULES
Real-time energy monitoring
OVERLOAD PROTECTION
Prevents damage to circuitry if a fault occurs
TEMPERATURE MONITORING
Optional temperature probe
