Sparta - Model 500 -Shredder
Our slow rotor "SPARTA" shredders are machines devised for shredding any kind of wood, in other words, they allow a volume reduction of industrial waste. The result, in terms of chips dimensions, can vary according to the result one wishes to obtain and its final use. Shredded material, once refined and if without glues/plastic free, can then be used for the production of briquettes or pellets.
The material to be shredded is fed into the loading hopper either manually or with loading devices such as belt or apron loaders.
The operator then starts the machine through the control panel. The hydraulically controlled feed plate pushes the material against the slow-turning shredding rotor. The rotor, fitted with a set of hard metal inserts, shreds the material with the assistance of a fixed blade. Upon completion of feeding, the plate goes back automatically and repeats the cycle.
The shredded material falls through a screen around the rotor and into the lower hopper and is then conveyed out of the machine by means of a screw conveyer or a suction system.
