For routine diffuse reflectance sampling, the Minidiff™ Plus is the ideal accessory of choice. High performance solids analysis is made simple through a minimal alignment optical system. Solid sampling versatility is maintained through the use of standard sampling cups and Diabrase abrasive sampling pads. The sample introduction system reduces the risk of sample spillage, with up to 3 samples being loaded at the same time. The Benchmark™ baseplate mounting provides consistent, stable and reliable positioning of the accessory in the spectrometer.

Simple DRIFTS spectroscopy accessory
The Specac Minidiff Plus Diffuse Reflectance Accessory allows economic and high quality DRIFTS (Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy) analysis of a wide variety of powders and solid samples. Typically, a small amount of sample is ground with KBr powder for analysis. Applications include characterization of polymers, catalysts, films, fibers, powdered chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
Pre-aligned DRIFTS accessory for easy analysis
Pre-aligned optics ensures maximum optical throughput and ease of operation of the accessory. Sampling versatility is maintained through the use of sampling cups to hold powdered or particulate materials, and diabrase abrasive sampling pads for scraping non particulate solid materials. The sample holder platform is simply and easily removed and reinstalled in the accessory, and brought into position with a micrometer focus adjustment without need for re-alignment of the optical components. This accessory is installed with Specac’s Benchmark™ type baseplate system.
