Thermal mass flow controllers (MFC) allow precise flow rate control of individual gasses. Up to 5 MFCs can be configured within each unit & integrated to the controlling software. This enables flexible aeration options for a wide range of applications.
Various agitator configurations are key to match to each process. For example, in high oxygen demand fermentation, a Rushton style impeller system may be utilized, whereas in more shear sensitive cell cultivation, a axial style impeller may be better suited.
The powerful software & control platform allows precise cascade adjustment of multiple parameters to manage gas transfer, allowing better maximization of OTR, kLa, etc.
