Stanford - Model OX1008 -Cerium Oxide Powder

Cerium Oxide (also known as Ceric Oxide, Ceria, or Cerium Dioxide) is a pale yellow / white powder with the chemical formula CeO2, normally formed by the calcination of cerium oxalate or cerium hydroxide. Cerium oxide is easy to penetrate visible light, but has good absorption of ultraviolet rays, and also makes the skin look more natural.

It can be used as an additive in the glass industry and as a grinding material for plate glass. At present, it has been expanded to the grinding of glasses glass, optical lenses, and picture tubes, and plays the role of decolorization, clarification, and absorption of ultraviolet rays and electron rays of glass.

It is also used as an anti-reflection agent for spectacle lenses and is made into cerium-titanium yellow with cerium to make the glass light yellow.

Used in ceramic glaze and the electronic industry, as a piezoelectric ceramic infiltration agent.

It is also used in the manufacture of highly active catalysts, incandescent covers for gas lamps, and fluorescent screens for x-rays.
