WaterBoss - Submersible Water Level Detector

Bubbler systems have traditionally been used to detect water levels in a down-shaft pond, where pumps are controlled to prevent pond overflow which can weaken gob seals.  Bubblers initially work well, but require constant maintenance to avoid clogging and freezing condensation of the air tube. Air pump maintenance and replacement is also a costly nuisance.  Rel-Tek developed its WaterBossTM submersible pressure transducer, having a remote pressure detector that can be dropped down a 1,000 ft shaft into the pond to continuously monitor water head from the surface.  This device is MSHA approved and is classified IS with 1,500 ft of cable.  Complete systems with pump control relays and dial-out alarms are available.
