Sulfur Pulverizing Mills
ROTAMILL provides complete sulfur pulverizing mills. We do not only sell those mills in Germany but all over the world as well. Centerpiece of the plant is the rotating impact mill in which the chunky sulfur is pulverized. Source material is elementary sulfur that either occurs as a natural product or as result of a petrochemical natural gas recycling process.
Pulverized sulfur can be used in many various ways, e.g. agriculture, crop spraying, as fertilizer or in the chemical industry.
The pulverizing of chunky sulfur with fineness of 44 micron or micro fine sulfur with a fineness of less than 5 micron represents a problematic process. Dusty sulfur is highly explosive, can be inflamed very fast, is highly sensitive to heat and is electrostatic chargeable.
The ROTAMILL pulverizing plants are special constructions that were develop further within more than 34 year of field-tests. Of course the typical sulfur pulverizing problems are regarded with special care.
The complete pulverizing system consisting of dispatchment, pre-crushing, conveying systems, mill, integrated dynamic classifier, cyclone, bagging and packaging is completely monitored regarding the O2 concentration. The system is provided with double-walls as far as possible so additional cold water cooling is possible. Even the problem of the flowing rate and the electrostatic charging of sulfur is solved through our special know-how and long lasting experience.
To produce micron fine sulfur, an additional fineness level is added after the pulverizing unit. This unit consists of jet mill, air compressor as well as a measuring and mixing system.
Water cooled rotating grinding dish mill with integrated dynamic classifier, product conveying – and protective gas cycle fan. Refining output of up to 2.000 kg/h per mill with 44 micron and 1% sediments.
Through an integrated inert gas generator the safety gas is continuously cleaned, dried, cooled down and recycled within the plant. This provides an unchanging atmosphere within the whole grinding system.
