Quik-Solid - Superabsorbent Media Mats
QUIK-SOLID Mats are a high-performing yet lower cost alternative to other absorbent fabric products that are used in the hazardous waste or nuclear waste disposal industry. QUIK-SOLID Mats are made with polyester fabric layers bonded together with a special polyolefin adhesive. The QUIK-SOLID granular absorbent polymer is imbedded between the layers of fabric and the entire laminate structure is made of non-biodegradable materials.
QUIK-SOLID MATS are a higher performing alternative to traditional fabric absorbent products that are utilized for hazardous, non hazardous and low level radioactive waste disposal.
QUIK-SOLID superabsorbent media is imbedded between layers of non biodegradable laminated fabric to ensure maximum polymer retention and absorbency. The roll is then cut to size and placed in drums, boxes intermodal and other transport containers for solidification of aqueous matter and condensation control.
QUIK-SOLID MATS are specially designed for use in the following applications:
- Moisture and free liquid control caused by container rain and other forms of condensate
- Absorption of free liquids generated from solids compression
- Mats absorb and retain up to >1.5 liters of water per square foot of media
- Minimum expansion, reducing overall disposal costs
- Non-biodegradable polymer (per 40 CFR 264.314 (e)(ii))
- Freeze-thaw tested, will not release liquids after freezing and subsequent heating (160º F)
- Incinerable material
- Delivers superior absorbency while taking up less volume in waste containers
