SWPPP
From Focus Areas - Water
Storm water is simply rain water or melted snow that runs off the land and into rivers, streams, and lakes. When storm water flows through industrial sites it may accumulate pollutants and transport them into national waterways where they can impact wildlife, restrict swimming areas, and affect the navigability of the nation’s waters.
Overview
To help reduce the contamination of waters by storm water runoff, the EPA developed a regulatory program under the Clean Water Act requiring industries to obtain discharge permits and to develop Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP).
Argent Consulting offers comprehensive storm water permit assistance to attain regulatory compliance, including filing of Storm Water Multi-Sector General Permits (MSGP) and creation of SWPPPs.
Argent develops Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) that identify potential sources of pollution which may reasonably be expected to affect the quality of storm water discharges from the site, describe procedures to be used in the management of storm water releases and to reduce pollutants in storm water discharges from the site, establish recordkeeping systems and pollution prevention staff, and help assure compliance with the terms and conditions of the permit.
Our knowledgeable environmental consultants offer required annual compliance audits and SWPPP training for your personnel.
