TAPC - Simple Water Scrubbers

Simple water scrubbers rely on the solubility of the pollutant gas.  Many of these scrubbers do not recycle the scubbing liquor, simply sending it to waste or recovery. An example of this would be the removal of methanol (CH₃OH) from a gas stream using only water. Methanol is highly soluble in water, but evolves back out of the water if recycled.  These systems are identical to the chemical scrubbers described below except they only use water.  Click here to visit our Chemical Scubbing section.
