The VISCOlab 3000 viscometer is the ideal choice for R&D, QC labs or measuring oil viscosity for VI Index. No separate, bulky, slow- responding water bath system is required. The VISCOlab 3000 is a temperature controlled viscometer that incorporates an integrated heater that allows this precision viscometer to accurately deliver measurements at user-defined temperatures from slightly above ambient to 356°F (180°C). Further, the temperature range of this temperature controlled viscometer can be extended to -40°C with the optional cooling jacket coupled with an appropriate cooling bath. The sensor is easily field-calibrated and supports any of 13 different viscosity ranges from 0.2-20,000cP (cSt), with up to 40 distinct temperature/ viscosity calibrations.

The VISCOlab 3000 contains a piston-style electromagnetic sensor and RTD that provides continuous viscosity, temperature and temperature compensated viscosity (TCV) readings.

Measurements can be made in any of twelve 20:1 viscosity ranges. Viscosity can be displayed in either centipoise or centistokes, temperature can be displayed in °C or°F.

Integrated temperature control allows user defined measurements at any setting from slightly above ambient to 356°F (180°C) and from ambient to -40°C with optional cooling jacket. The sensor is easily field calibrated. Multiple operating ranges and product setups can be pre calibrated.

Data can be output to a PC, via the RS-232 serial port for tracking, storage or graphical display. The electronics allow the user to define temperature and viscosity display units, data averaging interval, density and much more. The electronics also provides digital readings, as well as, statistics on sample stability that allow greater repeatibility between tests and operators.
