Thrust Bearings
Bearings Plus offers a variety of thrust bearings, including fixed profile, self equalizing, ball and socket, rocker back and thrust plates. The design is determined by the parameters each application, depending on load capacity, speed, temperature requirements and more. Thrust bearings are uniquely engineered to reduce power loss, oil flow and temperature to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Polymer-lined thrust bearings can expand bearing operating limits and increase reliability compared to conventional babbitted bearings. Engineered polymers use bearing grade materials to improve self-lubrication and heat dissipation, allowing polymer bearings to operate with thinner hydrodynamic films and at higher temperatures.
Engineered polymers also provide excellent embedability, corrosion resistance and anti-galling properties to prevent damage and extend bearing life.
