Titan - Drum Intake Screens
Drum style screens are available in sizes up to 48" in diameter. PVC or HDPE construction provides an inexpensive alternative to metal screens. Drum style screens are often used in installations where water current is slow. Slots on the screen can be perpendicular Thread as shown or parallel to the long axis of the screen. The intake pipe extends into the interior of the screen helping to equalize intake flows across the full length of the screen. .
Development of specialized equipment enables Titan to produce a clean round hole with uniform placement in a variety of pipe sizes. open areas of 25% or more are often produced depending on hole size greatly exceeding slotted pipe open area.
Mega-Screen is available in just about any plastic pipe material making Mega-Screen compatible with standard pipe fittings. Titan is able to produce Mega-Screen on a custom basis long or short lengths, various hole diameters and hole spacing.
Depending on the type of plastic pipe Mega-Screen can be provided with belled ends, gasketed ends, threaded ends, coupled ends, flanges or flush joint threaded ends.
