Tri-Mer - Model MACT & CISWI MACT -Catalytic Filter System for NOx Control in Boiler MACT
Boiler MACT regulates production of carbon monoxide (CO). If CO is managed by combustion conditions, NOx production increases. The best strategy for Boiler MACT compliance is to control CO in the boiler and allow the UltraCat Catalytic Filter System to remove NOx in the flue gas. CISWI MACT regulates air pollutants from commercial and industrial solid waste incineration units, for: municipal solid waste; hospital, medical and infectious solid waste; commercial and industrial solid waste, etc.
Tri-Mer’s Catalytic Filter Systems offer significant advantages over conventional devices used to comply with Boiler MACT and CISWI MACT standards. These include:
- Ability to handle hot gas streams, up to 1650°F
- Non-selective capture of particulate, including heavy metals
- Option to remove NOx at temperatures in the range of 350°F to 700°F
Tri-Mer filter systems remove gas pollutants that are generally treated with a wet scrubber or through high-temp SCR. These gases include SO2, HCl, HF, NO and NO2.
Systems are manufactured to customer requirements in materials suited to the temperature of operation, including mild steel and stainless alloys. Systems range from to 100,000s cfm.
