ULTRAMAX - Model HC Series -Industrial Ultraviolet (UV) Sterilization Systems

UV-Rays sterilization is a widespread easy-use method. With Ultramax sterilization systems water is exposed to 254 nm rays in a controlled way. UV rays kill microorganisms as much as 99.9% by destroying their DNA structure. UV sterilization systems can also be easily used in treatment processes like RO and Dl that have problems in applications with disinfection methods.

UV-C rays are produced by special fluorescent type tubes made of quartz glass and filled with mercury vapour. Reactor chamber is made of 304 quality stainless steel to prevent direct contact to the eyes and the skin and to meet the food norms. A special quartz cover that permeates UV-C rays at the highest rate is used to isolate the ray tubes inside the chamber from water.

10 m3/h to 80 m3/h capacity models production are standard, whereas special production is also possible for higher capacities if ordered.

In HC Series ultraviolet systems, the UV permeability rate of water; at L=1 cm , is accepted to be 95%. At this permeability, the min. dozage it is to give at the end of the year is designed to be 30,000 µ joule.

When the permeability of your water falls to 90%, capacity should be lowered by 25%. If you want a higher level of UV dosage, you should decrease the rate of flow with respect to 30,000 u joule dosage level. The permeability of the water sample you would send us, is going to be determined in lab by our specialized engineers and the best performance system suitable to your requirements will be projected by them as well.

It is recommended to use a filtration of 5µ or more sensitive in the access to the system. This has got two purposes:

• This enables the reduction in the turbidity and increase in optical permeability.
• This avoids the presence of bacterias hidden inside the particles that may pass without being exposed to UV rays and not killed or sticking onto the quartz glass to reduce the UV permeability and thus the system efficiency.
