PAXXUS History

2019

An additional, brand new W&H blown film line is added to the Singapore facility.

2018

Rollprint (USA), Alliantz (Singapore), and EuroFoil (Ireland) merge to form PAXXUS - a new global entity for flexible healthcare packaging solutions.

2014

Certified Class 8 Clean Room expanded with the addition of a new state-of-the-art pouch machine.

2012

Certified Class 8 Clean Room constructed for the production of sterile medical packaging pouches

2010

Packaging Hall of Fame inducts Bob Dodrill, former CEO of Rollprint, for his significant contributions in packaging advancements.

2006

Singapore facility (formerly Alliantz) is expanded by more than 50% and a new state-of-the-art blown coextrusion film line is added.

2005

Alliantz Flexible Packaging Pte. Ltd. was created as a joint venture between Rollprint Packaging Products and Acme Packaging.

2002

Rollprint Packaging Products and Acme Packaging Co. (Pte) Ltd., Singapore enter into a global strategic medical packaging alliance. At the time, Acme was a leading southeast Asian manufacturer of flexible packaging and printed folding cartons for medical packaging applications and a prominent force in the southeast Asian medical packaging market since the late 80’s.

1998

A new, state-of-the-art, co-extrusion coater & laminator was added

1995

Rollprint purchased UCB Medical Industries in Bloomfield, CT. This acquisition allowed for increased manufacturing capacity allowing for greater flexibility.

1993

Rollprint purchased an additional 77,000 square foot building located across the street at 345 South Stewart Avenue. The two Stewart Avenue facilities provide a total of 195,000 square feet of manufacturing, office, and laboratory space.

1986

Three new high-speed, microprocessor-controlled pouch making machines were added.

1982

Rollprint moved to a modern 118,000 square foot plant at 320 S. Stewart Avenue, Addison, Illinois.

1977

The first large high speed 6-color central impression press was added.

1976

Laminating capabilities were added.

1971

Rollprint began coating Tyvek®, becoming one of the first companies to offer peelable, breathable Tyvek® for sterile medical device applications.

1969

Rollprint was issued a patent for what is now known as the header pouch. This marked the entrance into medical packaging which has since become the primary market of focus.

1968

Rollprint Products Corporation and Schenker Printing Company merged and changed the name to ROLLPRINT PACKAGING PRODUCTS, INC

Rollprint enters into a joint venture with Baxter-Travenol to develop a breathable ethylene oxide sterilizable pouch for medical applications.

1954

Rollprint’s flexographic equipment was moved and consolidated with the sheet fed printing equipment of Schenker Printing Company at the Wabansia plant. Shortly thereafter, arotogravure printing press and a sheeter were added to the production capabilities. In the late 50’s, the decision was made to concentrate on the printed rollstock business.

1944

Schenker Printing Company relocated to a 20,000 square foot building at 2301 W. Wabansia Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.

1937

Schenker Printing Company was purchased by Sydney R. Raike. Over the years, the company added sheet-fed press capacity and expanded its product line into printing of paper packaging materials for chewing gum wrappers, boxes, overwrap, and battery labels.
