Vacuum Systems With Surface Condensers

SHARE

The system shown in the sketch achieves a suction pressure of 1 mbar. The temperature of the available cooling water determines the pressure which can be reached in the first surface condenser. In this example, two ejector stages have been series-connected to achieve a suction pressure of 1 mbar with the lowest possible use of motive flow. Two further ejector stages compress the non-condensable components of the suction flow from the first condenser up to atmospheric pressure. The interconnected surface condenser condenses the motive steam of the preceding ejector.

Advantage:

  • Separation of the process- and cooling water flows

Disadvantage:

  • Possibility of polution on the process- and cooling water side

Option:

  • Controllable arrangement
  • Combined with liquid ring vacuum pumps
  • Non barometric
  • Vertical condenser installation
  • Process vapour operated ejectors
