The Vertical Cutting Dryer is an essential component in the process of drilling waste management. It operates as part of a line-up of equipment designed to optimize the separation of drilling cuttings from drilling fluids. By processing the coarser particles that remain after the initial shaker separation, the vertical dryer extracts and conserves oil-based mud. This process is critical in reducing oil content on cuttings (OOC) to levels as low as 5%, ensuring environmental compliance and operational efficiency. The structure is designed with technical specificity, including options for fixed speed or variable frequency drive (VFD) controls to regulate operations. The dryer uses a sophisticated array of components such as high G forces up to 420G, stainless steel 316L baskets for corrosion resistance, and precision dynamic balancing to facilitate maintenance and replacement. On-line Drilling Cuttings is generated from the whole drilling process. The cuttings will be carried out by drilling fluids, and then separated by solids control / waste management systems. The first stage separating equipment is shale shaker.  After shaker separation, the fine cuttings will drop down to under tank with drilling fluids, and the coarse cuttings will be separated and treated by vertical cutting dryer.

Even, the performance of High G dryer is not as good as Vertical Cutting Dryer, the oil on cuttings will be around 10% after high G dryer, but all choices is depends on the owner’s requirements.
