Tecniplant - Vertical Pressure Leaf Filters
The vertical pressure leaf filters represent an efficient system for Solid-Liquid separation with low filtration surfaces. Easy to operate and maintain, they consist in rectangular filtering leaves with different dimensions, which are vertically mounted on an outlet manifold in a pressure tank. The filtering elements filter through both sides. In order to remove the cake, the discharge and the cleaning of the leaves can be supplied as follows:
Dry type. The cake is removed by means of a high frequency vibrating system and is drained through the outlet flanged connection located on the bottom.
Wet type. The cake is removed by means of spray jets mounted on a horizontal oscillating device with variable speed. The device cleans the whole filtering surface with strong blade jets.
- The filter leaves are held by a shaft, which acts also as filtered liquid collector.
- The standard design range covers a filtering surface of up to 250 m2 (PED, ASME).
- The top door is normally equipped with a hydraulic jack for easy opening.
