Regular series SIGHT-PIPES® are used to visually inspect a specific portion of a machined bore or cavity for a particular characteristic. The SIGHT-PIPE® projects an image, of the piece part sidewall, to the top of the enlarged head of the SIGHT-PIPE® at a right angle (90°). The image seen would be similar to that produced by sectioning (cutting) the piece part and looking directly at the sidewall. Regular series SIGHT-PIPES® are available in standard diameters from 0.125″ to 1.000″ with special sizes available upon request. SIGHT-PIPES® can be used alone or with the accessories described below.
- Stop Collar: Used to set the depth that the SIGHT-PIPE® can be inserted into the piece part. Useful when inspecting a characteristic at a specific depth.
- Light Input Adapter: Fits on the head of the SIGHT-PIPE® and properly positions a light source to direct light down the SIGHT-PIPE® illuminating the area being viewed.
- 1310 Portable Illuminator: Portable battery operated light source. (2 AA batteries)
