Vitec - 3-Channel Vibration Monitors for Turbo Power & Marine (TP&M) Turbine Engines

• In ihe 1960`s the Reliance Electric Company began its involvement in the technology related to determining the health of rotating industrial machinery. The machine diagnostic technology used by Reliance at that time included the measurement and monitoring of various machine operating parameters.
• In 1975 Reliance established a company to continue manufacturing the products it had developed tor the Predictive Maintenance business.
• A new corporation called Vitec, Inc. was established.  In addition to owning stock in Vitec, Reliance had representation on the Board of Directors.
• Over the next five years Vitec evolved, with the agreement that Reliance would provide consulting services, as needed, on the products they had transferred over to Vitec.
• In 1980 the Reliance Electric Company sold its shares of Vitec stock to the Vitec management team.
• Vitec continues to manufacture, sell, service and supply technical support for the products developed by Reliance, including (he 3-Channel Vibration Monitoring System, and the 1220 and 2050 Monitoring Systems.
• As technological advances became available, Vilec developed the 2100 Vibration Monitoring System and, subsequently, upgraded the system to the current 2110 Monitoring System.
• The 2110 System is capable of measuring vibration, axial position, temperature, pressure, speed, eccentricity, differential expansion, case expansion, thrust, valve position, mega wan levels and process variables.
