Flocculation is an essential stage in the treatment of sludge coming from municipal or industrial wastewater treatment plants. In these processes polymeric flocculating agents are used to enhance the treatability of the sludge. Flocculants, with their very high molecular weights(long chains of monomers) and their varied ionic charge, mixed with water and fix the destabilized particles on their chain. Therefore the particle size in the aqueous phase will increase throughout the flocculation step with the formation of floes. The formation of floes induces a release of the water. This water will thus be easily eliminated during the thickening and dewatering step. Flocculants are also used for other industrial solid-liquid separation applications, such as in chemical industries, petrochemical plants, pulp and paw plants, food industries and others.

Major Components
Easily Adjustable Polymer Feeder
Consists of a hopper and a variable-frequency controlled metering screw. The outlet feeder is heated electrically to avoid humidity. Mixing cone is a vital component consists of an ejector, which effectively mixes and delivers the water polymer mixture into the preparation chamber.

Automatic Water Supply Device
Consists of shut-off valve, magnetic valve, pressure switch and float type flow meter. Easily adjust the feed water into the chamber, thus allowing to control the concentration of the solution.

Three Different Function Chambers
The preparation chamber is equipped with a mixer, the maturation chamber is equipped with a agitator and storing/dosing chamber is equipped with a mixer and level sensor. Optional mixing and aging time, properly designed gentle mixing and agitating devices provide the necessary conditions to maximize of long chain polymer molecules. These well engineered stages do not only allow maximum usage of polymer concentrate but also reduce operating cost.

  2. Liquid solubility can be easily adjusted according to the actual demandCgenerally 0.05% - 0.3%). By changing the speed of the metering screw, the feed rate can be easily adjusted, then desired concentration can be achieved.
