While plastic pipes offer a safe, strong, and flexible alternative to traditional materials, their non-metallic nature poses a challenge for locating them underground. This can complicate maintenance, repair, and replacement efforts, further impacting water infrastructure efficiency. The RD510 Water Pipe Locator & Leak Detector, offered in collaboration with Radiodetection, is designed for maintenance and repair work, helping you pinpoint leaks with precision at depths of up to 16ft (5m)*. This advanced, hand-held solution features an acoustic sensor and control unit that work together to isolate and amplify leak sounds, ensuring accurate and efficient leak detection.
1. Connect:
Tether the RD510 Pulsed Water Transmitter (PWT) to a fire hydrant, meter base or external tap.
2. Inject:
Send a traceable sound into the target pipe using the PWT.
3. Detect:
The RD510 display unit and ground acoustic sensor accurately detect and identify the pipe’s location up to 45m/148ft* away.
