VOR - Wave Separator
The Wave Separator is a sludge thickening and biosolids dewatering machine with a very high efficiency. It can cope with a wide range of sludge concentrations, and also stably dehydrate sludge that contains high oil content or organic sludge. It has made possible the direct dewatering of food waste, water hyacinth residue, vegetables waste, etc.
It`s innovative working principle ensures effective separation in many sludge thickening and biosolids dewatering applications while requiring a very low Opex. Slow moving oval discs gently move the material through the separation surface, achieving high capacities and excellent capture rates. And the continuously rotating discs perform self-cleaning and eliminate the need for frequent backwash procedures.
The Wave Separator technology is a very affordable technology. It can be operated fully automated 24/7 with minimal operator attendance. The equipment is powered by a low-horsepower motor ensuring low operational expenses. The Wave Separator also helps reduce the downstream treatment capacity of sludge dewatering eauioment such as the Dewatering Screw Press. Decanter Centrifuge.
How Wave Separator Works
Hie main unit of the Wave Separator type JD contains multiple rows of trianglerotors(or oval-shaped discs) and stainless-steel screen bars, they are interlaced with each other. A slit is formed between neighboring triangle rotors and screen bars so that only water drains out. The triangle rotors engage with the neighboring screen bars(<imm), causing the slits to be constantly cleaned. Thus, the Wave Separator exhibits stable sludge treatment capacity.
The triangle rotors close to the sludge inlet form the filtration section, where as the triangle rotors close to the outlet form the dehydration section. The flocculated sludge fed into the filtration section of the dehydrators, then is constantly conveyed toward the outlet side as the triangle rollers rotate, during which the sludge is dehydrated by increased compression between the pressing plate and triangle rollers, and only the filtrate passes through the slits.
