Collection of WEEE is becoming increasingly important in the recent years. To serve this purpose, the ZEOS scheme has been implemented with the Gorenje Surovina acting as the major collector of WEEE.

We accept all categories of these wastes at our business units or collecting centres in Slovenia. The processing starts in our business units, and proceeds in our central warehouse in Maribor. The highest attention is paid to the handling of fridges & freezers since proper removal of freons from the cooling systems is vitally important. TV sets, monitors and small household appliances are handled on a special conveyor belt where devices are decomposed. Bulbs are properly sorted and handed over to the hazardous waste management companies.
