The TelsoSplice TS6 is an advanced wire welding machine for large nodes. Thanks to its rugged construction it is possible to weld a wide range of cross sections, from 2.5 to 100 mm² *. The weld head and the associated control system are integrated into an ergonomic table. The TelsoSplice TS6 is programmed and operated via a touch-screen monitor with intuitive user interface. Defining and loading individual nodes and sequences is straightforward. The configuration of different welding modes and quality windows is easy. The different user levels and statistical evaluation help to assure consistent quality. The network connection enables straightforward data exchange and connection to a production control system. Cross sections above 85mm² require previous verification. Extremely hard and tough wires may not be able to be processed even though they are within the cross section range.

Applications and industries 

Ultrasonic connection technology is widely used in the automotive industry and other fields where reliable electrical connections are required. The advantages of ultrasonic connections are lower electric resistance, cost efficiency and good corrosion protection, amongst others. Typical applications are wire connections with large cross sections, e.g. for HV, battery and drive cables. By using special tools it is possible to weld aluminium and copper-to-aluminium combinations with the same machine.
