The shaftless spiral makes the screw press particularly suitable for materials that tend to stick to, and tangle with, a shaft. Materials with variable particle sizes and irregular shapes can also be transported without problem using shaftless screw conveyors. Shaftless spirals reduce maintenance needs, as they can work filled to a far greater degree in the conveyor.
