• For a school classroom or a lecture room, audibility of the teachers voice is paramount. This generally requires that the reverberation time (i.e. the amount of time it takes for sound to decay) in the room be as low as possible.
• For a room where musical performance is important the quality of sound is the most important characteristic. A longer reverberation time is generally associated with rooms used for musical performance.

CATT Acoustics enables us to accurately predict the acoustic performance of a space before it is built. This means we can work out the best possible acoustic treatment for your purpose and budget.

CATT Acoustics is predictive computer software that allows us to create a 3D model of a room and then determine how it will perform acoustically. Generally we will use CATT for rooms which have not yet been constructed in order to offer advice to an architectural design team. We also use CATT Acoustics for existing rooms that are not performing as required acoustically or if a rooms use is going to change to one where the acoustics will become important.
