Plant control with integrated user knowledge supports plant operations. Integrated expert knowledge of plant control supports operators by providing recommendations for action for optimal plant operations. In order to support the staff operating a Biomar anaerobic wastewater treatment plant, we have integrated our expert knowledge into the plant control. The values measured daily in the lab to check plant performance (including COD, organic acids) are used and linked to online values in order to generate recommended plant settings. These recommendations utilise both current data and trends from previous measurements.
