Air Quality Sampling Services
Facilitating Compliance And Maximizing Performance Demonstrating compliance with air permit requirements could mean the difference in key operational efficiencies. NTH Consultants brings thorough knowledge of stack sampling protocols and permitting strategies that can facilitate compliance and maximize your facility’s performance.
Stationary Source Compliance Testing
In conducting a pretest site survey, we review the regulatory agency testing guidelines, specific air use permit requirements, and NTH’s standard provisions. Our professionals prepare the written test protocol for client approval and submission to the regulatory agency. NTH field specialists perform sampling and field analysis using USEPA and state-specific reference test procedures, including Reference Test Methods 1 through 29. Source Gas Parameters are analyzed in real time for carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur dioxide, total hydrocarbons, and air toxics specification. Particulate parameters are considered for total particulates, particle sizing, PM-10, and organic and inorganic condensible particulate toxic specification of particulates.
Ambient Air Sampling
Our professionals perform a source survey to critique specific project requirements such as siting criteria, methods of sample collection, parameter requirements, etc. We prepare the written test protocol, providing process information, sampling and analytical procedures, for client approval and submission to the regulatory agency. NTH field specialists perform sampling and field analysis using USEPA and statespecific adopted test procedures. We utilize instrumentation such as PM/PM-10 Hi-Vol Ambient Air Samplers, VOC/Toxic Ambient Air Samplers, and Acid Precipitation Samplers.
Continuous Emission Monitoring Audits
We verify the performance of CEM/CERM systems installed and operating at emission sources, based on their design performance specifications. Our professionals audit CEMs/CERMs for opacity, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxygen, total reduced sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and stack flow at stationary sources. NTH field specialists follow USEPA and state-specific adopted methods.
