Aluminium items are eminently suited to recycle. Did you know that aluminium can be recycled infinitely without losing quality? Recycling aluminium beverage cans saves 95% of the energy used making an aluminium can, compared to making it from raw bauxite. The energy saved from recycling one aluminium Coca Cola can will run a TV for three hours. If not recycled, it takes 80-100 years for an aluminium can to break down in a landfill.

Eldan Recycling offer aluminium recycling solutions with capacities ranging from 3.000-12.000 kg/production hour. Typical input material is: soft and hard aluminium material, clean as well as contaminated material, sheets, blanks, profiles, litho, castings, turnings, foils, Used Beverage Cans (UBC), ”old rolled aluminium” etc. The output material will be 'a clean-cut al-material', which size depend on the layout of the plant - i.e. which machines are included.

Input materials

In the Eldan Recycling aluminium recycling solutions typical input material will be soft and hard aluminium material, clean as well as contaminated material, sheets, blanks, profiles, litho, castings, turnings, foils, UBC (used beverage can), ”old rolled aluminium” and many others.

Output fractions

The output material will be 'a clean-cut al-material'. The size of the output depends on the size of the plant - i.e. which machines it includes. A few example:

  • In a plant that only including a Super Chopper the main fraction size is smaller than 100 mm. Approx. 10 % of the output material is oversize (i.e. larger than 100 mm and smaller than 300 mm).
  • In a plant including a Super Chopper and a Multi Purpose Rasper the output size can be varied (according to your needs) between 20 mm and 80 mm.
  • In a plant including a Super Chopper, a Multi Purpose Rasper and a Granulator the output size can be varied (according to your needs) between 2 mm and 12 mm.

Example of standard set-up (E-line, 4 ton/production hour): 1. Super Chopper, 2. Overband Magnet, 3. Tumble Back Feeder, 4. Multi Purpose Rasper, 5. Overband Magnet (behind MPR (4)), 6. Eddy Current Separator, 7. Heavy Granulator, 8. Overband Magnet, 9. Fine-Granulator and 10. Separation Table.

Eldan Recycling offer standard and special systems depending on customer requirements in regards to e.g. type of aluminium input, production capacity and output size/quality. The systems have capacities ranging from 3,000 - 12,000 kg/production hour. These systems are also the starting point when tailoring solutions to customers.

Aluminium shred production

In an Eldan Aluminium recycling system (a A-line) aluminium scrap can be turned into aluminium shreds. As an example: aluminium profiles and sheets can be turned into 150-250 mm aluminium shreds at up to 2,5 ton/production hour.

Aluminium chip production

In an Eldan Aluminium recycling system (a C-line) aluminium scrap can be turned into aluminium chips. As an example: aluminium scrap containing no steel can be turned into less than 50 mm aluminium chip, FE, plastic, wood, minerals etc. at up to 2 ton/production hour (depending on input material). Example of input material: profiles (max. lenght, 4 m, thickness, 3 to 6 mm), baled UBC (400*400*600 to 1000), baled other aluminium (400*400*600 to 1000 material max thickness 10 to 20 mm), motor blocks (400*400*600 and no steel).

Aluminium granulate production

In an Eldan Aluminium recycling system (a E-line) aluminium scrap can be turned into aluminium granulate. As an example: aluminium scrap containing no steel can be turned into less than 4 mm aluminium granulate at up to 2 ton/production hour (depending on input material). Example of input material: profiles (max. lenght, 4 m, thickness, 3 to 6 mm), baled UBC (400*400*600 to 1000), baled other aluminium (400*400*600 to 1000 material max thickness 10 to 20 mm), motor blocks (400*400*600 and no steel).

Further size reduction.

The Shredder is a powerful, high-speed Ring Shredder for size reduction of aluminum. The Shedder has a capacity up to 7.000 kg/hr.

Cutting off ACSR cables.

ACSR Shear M16-2 is used for cutting of ACSR cables. It is simple to load, operate and maintain. The feeding speed is up to 60 meters/minute and chopping speed up to 400 cuts/minute. The maximum cable diameter used which can be cut is 50 mm.

The Eldan UBC Recycling Systems, also called Used Beverage Can Recycling Systems, are designed to clean the aluminium by separating it from magnetic and stainless steel as well as organic material. By downsizing the material and thereby increasing the density of the material transporting costs will be reduced.
