We utilize ASTM, EPA, AHERA, ISO, NIOSH 7400 and NIOSH 7402 methodologies, among others. MAS is in compliance with International Standard ISO/IEC 17025.
PCM
Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) is the most basic and widely used method to measure overall fiber concentrations of air samples from occupational settings.
PLM
Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) is most often used for bulk material analysis. PLM allows our analysts to classify the type of asbestos present as well as measure concentrations.
TEM
Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) is the preferred technique for the measurement of asbestos in air, dust, soil and water samples. It is the only technique that both resolves and identifies all sizes of asbestos fibers.
