Land owners are under an obligation to prevent soil contamination. A clean location is a sign of ‘good housekeeping’. We help them achieving this goal, and from as early as 1995 we realise fluid-tight provisions for new developments and alterations of existing filling stations. These activities are restricted to Belgium for now. In recent years, we have been involved in the construction of countless fluid-tight floors, asphalt roads and company sewer systems. Our facilities can be seen at filling stations, waste processing plants (waste disposal centres), as well as at industrial and technical support services.
Soil-protective facilities
Remediating a location is always more expensive than taking measures to prevent contamination from happening in the first place. The proceeds from selling the site can also be higher if the correct measures have been taken and proper facilities have been put in place.
Providing a soil-protective facility has to fit in with a particular situation. We decide on the facility that will best suit the soil-jeopardising activity, also in relation to the structure of the soil. We also take a look at the best way of collecting and discarding contaminating substances. Depending on the possibilities and the client`s requirements, we will be able to provide the following facilities:

Filling stations
For filling station constructions we can pride ourselves on more than 15 years of experience. Such constructions are carried out on behalf of the larger (oil) companies, as well as smaller franchises and private individuals. Large or small, complex or simple. Every year, we take on new jobs for various filling stations.
Within our company we have an abundance of knowledge in terms of soil remediation, soil-protective facilities and civil engineering projects. This abundance of knowledge becomes evident in the construction of filling stations.
For most of the projects, HMVT will be responsible for soil remediation, the civil engineering structures such as forecourt, sewerage, hydrocarbon separator, road metalling and the pipe system, including the deliveries from below-ground tanks. The construction can also be carried out as a turnkey project, in which case we can give a guarantee for all necessary parts. In that event, we will be able to carry out the demolition, renovation and the new development within the agreed period of time. As well as providing all elements below or above ground level, we will be able to supply the electrical facilities, the awning and the shop construction.
