Companies and Human Rights Services
Companies are under increasing pressure to conduct their operations in a manner which does not infringe human rights and international rights conferred on employees. Up to now, it has primarily been the market itself which has punished companies which fail to comply with internationally recognised norms although the protection of human rights is now also playing a greater role as part of the regulatory framework.
Vinge provides advice on all aspects of human rights law such as risk management, compliance and dispute resolution.
For instance, Vinge provides assistance in conjunction with due diligence reviews as well as the preparation and implementation of policy documents and compliance programmes which satisfy the requirements imposed by the company’s lenders, investors and other interested parties or other international regulatory provisions such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We can also act as counsel in connection with complaints filed with the OECD’s salient national contact points or in connection with human rights proceedings.
