Concept development & Engineering
A needs analysis is first carried out together with the customer - usually on site - in order to determine: - what quantities of wastewater - in which quality - at which location - at what temperature - and at what time is to be treated. In addition, the entire environment from wastewater inflow (average, peak load) to the required or desired effluent values is assessed and incorporated into the overall concept for the intended treatment. This ensures that the treatment plant is neither unnecessarily oversized nor undersized and will still achieve the required treatment performance at all times.The wastewater analysis of a renowned certified laboratory is predominantly provided by the customer. If such an analysis is not (yet) available, CUSS can partly carry out its own analyses on site or in the company's own laboratory, or have special analyses going beyond this carried out in independent certified laboratories.
It is particularly important to analyse the quality and quantity of the wastewater produced over a longer period of time - at least 1 year - and to use this as a basis for the plant design.
We deliver tailored concepts
In order not to jeopardise production permits, the last link in the chain - wastewater treatment - must ensure optimal functioning and safe compliance with regulations. From simple to complex turnkey projects, our project planning department develops holistically and sustainably thought-out, customised processes for you to treat, for example, soft drink production wastewater, brewery wastewater or food production and industrial wastewater.
Furthermore, we can convince with the development of individual processes for the recovery of energy through biogas utilisation as well as recycling concepts for further utilisation of the treated wastewater.
Consultation and on-site meetings: the successful start of a project
In order to offer a mature solution, CUSS works with a combination of "Tailor-Made", i.e. a concept tailored to the client, and proven components and technologies "Made in Germany". It is advantageous to meet with the client on site and work closely together to clarify project-relevant milestones and provide advice.
Particular focus here is on:
- Visiting the plant and the possible building site for a new plant
- Consideration and advice for the wastewater transport system
- Assistance in determining the wastewater quantity and quality
- Determination of customer-specific wishes and priorities
- Discussion and clarification of local or company wastewater guidelines
- Advice on construction work
- Advice on operation and logistical optimisation
On-site visits are carried out by experienced project engineers. In the case of an existing wastewater treatment plant, CUSS also provides an assessment of the need for elements to be replaced and those that can continue to be used. Together, these focal points provide a sound basis for getting a project off the ground and bringing it to a successful conclusion.
