At Graycor, safety is not just a policy but a key part of our culture. Our safety program continues to evolve to ensure both physical and psychological worker health and safety are considered. This holistic safety culture is exemplified through “Building a Culture of Care” and is an integral part of the way we do business. As a family-owned and -operated company, it strikes to our core – each one of us is essential.

“Building a Culture of Care” shifts the focus from traditional construction jobsite ‘safety cop’ mentality to a coaching and positive reinforcement mentality. To build a positive safety culture on our projects, we ask our employees and craft workers to take a more active role in keeping their coworkers out of harm’s way by stopping unsafe acts by helping each other work safely through corrective action.

At Graycor we believe all injuries and incidents are preventable, not inevitable. The direct result is our goal of “Zero Incidents”. We are confident each project can be accomplished without a single incident and have accomplished major self-performance projects without a single injury.

Quality
In each preconstruction effort, we work to identify and define the client’s quality objectives and launch formal evaluation of quality risks. We also initiate our virtual design and construction (VDC) process to build the project virtually first with BIM 3D models, improving project efficiencies by identifying issues before they are experienced in the field. The detailed risk evaluation and VDC modeling allow our teams to tailor the quality program to address the specific project needs identified. The latter, combined with Graycor’s Zero Punchlist approach, enables us to deliver deficiency-free facilities to our clients upon the scheduled completion date.

We continuously seek ways to improve our quality processes for the benefit of our clients and have built a culture of continuous improvement. Reviewing lessons learned and client/subcontractor feedback, as well as applying best practices to each new project allows us to continuously enhance the way we operate.

We have professional staff with ample knowledge and expertise in environmental methodologies. Our team works with the owner and architect in the design phase to meet the design sustainability requirements while achieving the budget or schedule targets.

In fact, one of our core values is to promote family, community and wellness.
The Graycor Community Fund Program is dedicated to supporting the charitable and civic activities of our associates by delivering financial and volunteer assistance to 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that enhance lives within the communities where our associates live, work and build. We support meaningful contributions that deliver basic needs, such as food, shelter, education and healthcare, as well as civic, environmental and cultural programs.
