Contingency Planning required to manage oil spill events was supported through GIS application development in ARCINFO and ARCVIEW products. Travel Time by Water (TTW) and Helicopter Response Time (HRT) was modeled to predict minimum response time to an oil spill within an oil field belonging to Shell Petroleum Development Corporation.
