Deep Bore Soakaways Solutions

A borehole for soakaways is constructed in a similar way to water boreholes we drill and install the soakway boreholes using British Standard casing.

Typically the soakaway construction at the surface is completed by the ground works contractor.

The deep bore soakaway service we offer includes:

• Access geological conditions
• Drilling using rotary air/mud drilling techniques to the required depth.
• Installing relevant liner using perforated for the lower section and solid above (to allow for the borehole to be sealed correctly) Liners can be between 100-250mm diameter.
• Install suitable gravel pack to support the liner and allow easy percolation
• Grout out the borehole using a suitable borehole grout.
• Test borehole flow rates and access.
• Supply and fit the syphon head. Usually at this stage the soakaway is left for the groundworks contractor who will install the relevant chambers required.
