Ecological/Biological Surveys
Biological surveys are often required to achieve compliance with a variety of federal and state regulations. At GLEC we have the experienced staff, the equipment, and the resources necessary to conduct effective biological surveys to meet a variety of client needs. GLEC is capable of, and experienced in conducting biological surveys of aquatic, wetland, and terrestrial ecosystems. GLEC staff have both depth and breadth of experience in aquatic ecology, wetland ecology, vertebrate and invertebrate biology, aquatic toxicology, environmental chemistry, botany, forestry, habitat assessment, Geographical Information Systems (GIS)/remote sensing, and regulatory interaction. Further, GLEC has the equipment needed to perform intensive field investigations of both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. GLEC has done lake sampling and stream sampling and water quality work as well as fish population and aquatic plant studies for a variety of conservation organizations, lake associations, state agencies and tribal water quality divisions.
