Environmental Compliance, Pollution Prevention, and Sustainability Services

ERT has performed pollution prevention (P2) management at numerous Federal facilities, completing reviews of available information on current and planned changes to processes or operations, amounts and types of hazardous materials used, and waste generation and management. We have applied P2 to all environmental aspects of facility operations including air emissions, energy and natural resource use, and water resources. Through total cost analysis we have been successful in ensuring there is a financial savings or cost avoidance through the implementation of P2.

ERT develops installation- to agency-wide safety and health plans, assessments of facilities and work site safety conditions, and surveys of hazardous conditions such as those posed by asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint, mold and mercury-containing equipment.

Our environmental stewardship programs include environmental management systems (EMS) to improve environmental performance and compliance, increase efficiency, and reduce operating costs. ERT develops new EMS, reviews existing EMS, and helps customers implement EMS within their operating environment. ERT has developed electronic EMS systems including GIS-based compliance-focused EMS to allow the remote observation and assessment of compliance activities at large, multi-site facilities.
