Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
Environmental impact assessment (EIA) is required for all planned activities, which are subject to state environmental experts’ review. Implementation of EIA procedure and preparation of EIA materials are obligatory and developed in accordance with the RF legislation and international requirements for programs, plans and projects.
SHANECO GROUP experts have been actively introducing EIA procedure in Russian Federation. Our experts have prepared a number of manuals on EIA procedure implementation for investment processes, programs, and plans. The approach and methodology introduced by SHANECO experts for environmental impact assessments allow implementing environmentally sound projects which are in line with all state experts’ requirements.
The range of works which have been done by our experts on the bauxite& alumina complex project in the Komi Republic during 2004 – 2006 (Client: Komi Aluminium) is a great example of EIA application for a complex integrated project.
EIA methodology has been applied firstly for urban planning activities during the development of general plan for a number of cities (Togljiatti – 2001-2003, Kazan – 2004 - 2006, Voronezh - 2006).
