Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) An EIA is a legal requirement for many planning developments including industrial facilities, wind farms, large housing developments and new roads. The EIA consists of background research and field studies to identify any potential negative impact of the site on the environment. It may also include recommendations to minimise any negative impacts. OES have intimate knowledge of the complex legislative framework that exists throughout the various levels of consent and approval. We provide a comprehensive approach preparing your report, meeting with relevant planners and/or government bodies and the public to ensure all significant environmental issues are addressed.
Site Suitability Assessments
If you are planning to build a house or a number of houses in a rural area, you will need to carry out a percolation test? OES are FETAC accredited to undertake site suitability assessments including percolation tests. As part of the assessment we will complete desktop research and on-site visual assessment, supervise the trial holes excavation and examination of soils, and undertake the percolation test. We will produce a report for the planning authority which will recommend the most suitable waste water treatment system to suit your site and will actively work with you to design the most effective system for your property.
Landscape Design Services
